another question please. i'm trying to separate the pillar from the corner panel but I can't find any spot weld dimples.was it spot welded or glued with something? OK, if you got any seams that fold inwards they are there obviously. If you cant find any spot dimples i`ll bet its been replaced before and the welds ground flush

Make sure to WEAR eye protection when using them on the grinder, especially the cheaper ones, I've pulled wires out of my arms and it's not nice, don't even want to think about getting one in the face. It'll definitely be welded somewhere. A lady came into my workshop whilst I was using a wire wheel on the grinder, I was in shorts and t shirt but had on a full face grinding mask. I lifted the mask and smiled , she looked shocked, I looked at my arms and legs to see many little curvy bits of wire stuck in my skin with little trails of blood coming from them! I left them there whilst we had a brief odd conversation

thanks for all the safety advice guys.fred don't worry it's a Cortina bonnet.'i thought about them grinding it down but if they did they didn't use any filler.i'll have another giood check tomorrow.god did I have fun and game removing the fridge and parts of the unit.
