Hi
I was wondering if I could please pick peoples brains.. My camper failed on the brakes with the master cylinder being the problem.. ~Normally this would just mean a repair kit or replacement cylinder.. But its never that easy with old Fords.. Tried a repair kit with no luck at all, and this is where it gets tricky.. The servo and master cylinder are off a "rare" Bedford truck and after 3 months I haven't been able to find a replacement.. Next option would be to replace the servo and master cylinder.. I have noticed that a few of you have MK3 master cylinders, and servos? My Question being is how easy is a mk3 servo and master cylinder to fit and do you need to modify anything on the bulk head / Peddle box / connections?
Running new lines to each brake isn't a problem, just really want it back and running..
Thank you in advance for any advice..

I seem to remember Bungle saying he fitted an LDV Master and servo.

Hi
The brake servo on my MK2 is knackered but I wanted to keep the original one, so have found a company who specialize in reconditioning servo's and mastercylinders. I haven't had it back yet but if you are interested I can dig out the details for you.

What bedford is it from, I can't think of anything mega rare it could be from? As has been said a master cylinder can be re-sleved for re-use

Just a quick update... There's no hope on the master cylinder so I have purchased a servo and cylinder off of a mk3 transit.. It will mean a slight mod on the brake pipes but fingers crossed it will fit..

Did you consider the LDV route? The Mk3 has to be fitted leaning to the driver's side but works well
