hello, I just registered to this forum. I am the vice president of a classic car club in Turin, Italy, and recently we bought a mkI Transit 130 custom minibus that will became our service vehicle during classic cars events. We are trying to decode the chassis number to correclty identifiyng model and year. And also we need to know the color combo available for this vehicle. It is now in its original paint but it need to be repainted: we want to paint it in an original color but closer to our club color which are blue and yellow.

I can only remember seeing British Transits in one colour I'm afraid. It was a very competitively priced van, and two colours would have been expensive. Special orders would have been in any colour you wanted of course. Italy I don't know about.
If you got to the page below you will find many books about Transits, if you ask the people selling them, I expect they will tell you if the book mentions colours available in Italy.www.ebay.it/sch/Manuali-e-Libretti-Istruzioni-/36085/i.html?_sac=1&_nkw=Transit

I dont know the numbers that wete sold in primer but it was a lot, one reason for the rot. Primer is porous so allows moisture to get to the metal.
