Went to look at a mk2 transit recovery today with the idea of pinching its body for my recovery project, its not quite what I was after but it does look a good truck. The truck is a mk2 phase 2, the cab is good, probably wants a step sill and needs some paint, the chassis has had a big extension job and has a couple of ugly plates but looks 100% solid, its got a 2 litre pinto that runs but is a bugger to start and misfires a lot. The body is made of 3mm ish box section and is 17ft long by 6ft wide, has a thick ply base and is skinned with 3mm ali chequer plate. It needs lights, grill bumpers interior trim and bonnet refitting as well as some other cosmetic bits ie paint and smoothing filling of bodywork. They want £800 for it no offers, Im very tempted to buy it but not 100% sure what do you lot reckon? this is it by the way www.ebay.co.uk/itm/mk2-transit-transporter-/330833892922?pt=UK_Commercial_Trucks&hash=item4d073c963a

I suggest you offer them less, and wave the notes a bit Stoney. I bet you'd find it a lot more attractive at £600.
