Yep that's where mine was leaking.
Don't use silicone it'll rot it worse use proper automotive sealant like Tiger seal or similar.

I fill everything...but this morning i find some water drops... I think they come inside along the windshield seal..then I think they go inside the seal in the upper part of the seal...so tomorrow I will put sealant all arond the windsheld seal.. I don't know if I explained...

The top plastic ring just unscrews from the top of the vent. Then just pull the plastic tubing off it from underneath. If my van was here and not tucked up in its storage shed I'd take a pic to show you. I thought by loosening the ring it would free up the vent but its still very hard to to move the ball n socket type thing

Loosening the vent ring won't make any difference to that, the ring just holds it to the dash.

an Irish solution!
Duck leaks the same and I have the hole under the bonnet hinge mentioned and I suspect a hole in the airbox thingy. Only seems to get in if parked head downhill though.

[br probably gushes down the gutter and in through the top of the wings try removing the vents and have a look there on the ledge where the top of the wing joins]

Water is right over by pedals...seems a bit unlikely it would travel right across there.... could seal the scuttle to wing gap I guess

Holes in he scuttle then or the seal where the heater meets the bulkhead/scuttle. or something else :-) Are any of the bulkhead grommets missing. it has taken me ages to sort my leaks out and it's included all of the above. you fix one then you notice another :-(

Due to a thing called Capillary action water will travel through the windscreen rubber and around the edge of the screen. Do you have a gap on the outside between the glass and the rubber?

water getting in through the air in take tape it up on the bonnet to test that,if it cures it , clean it out below the vent, and put some varnish in to reseal the weld, getting in through the roof gutter and running round the inside of the gutter and then through the windshield area, mine was getting through both them parts ,the gutter leak was behind the back door, slowley go round the gutter with a watering can starting at the windscreen and work your way back untill it starts leaking ,a trile and error job
