At least the info is here for anybody else who needs it. Dan some LWB models have vented discs but not sure which SWB. Maybe the minibuses? I'll get Muttley to have a look for you.

Maybe some better pads on the front would help with fade? Mine don't fade with normal road use and I'm a lot heavier

What the hell are you doing to get brake fade? I have driven SWB vans with solid discs towing up to capacity up hill and down dale, never had brake fade. It's an old van you are driving, not a rally car

If I get to the stage were my lard arse is making the brakes fade on a 3.5t van then I'll have more to worry about than stopping..... I'm loaded up most of the time somewhere around 2.5 ton or more

You are missing the point, if you have brake fade occurring then you must have worn or faulty brakes as the standard SWB solid discs are more than up to the job.

Hi, so if wanting to fit callipers and discs to the existing drums , is it a case of getting the brackets and discs and calllipers. Do those parts fit to existing stubs or do I need to change the whole stubs?
Thanks

You will need disc stubs, its a lot easier to change the whole axle
