Hi everyone, I have recently purchased a mk2 lwb minibus. It needs a few things doing but generally very nice. It has a later 2.5d but the ultimate aim is to go back to an original petrol unit. Anyone any advice? originally a 2.0 pinto but I'd be tempted by a 3.0 essex. Not sure how realistic this is in terms of conversion of sourcing an engine?
I have a rusty bull bar that I do not want. It is probably too far gone for repair but maybe of use to someone as a template or as a little project for someone with the skills. Please pm me for pictures.
If anyone knows of somewhere I can get a lockset or locks for passenger, side cargo and rear double doors please let me know!

Welcome mate! The 2.5 DI was an option on the Mk2 phase2. What year is your bus? It could be the original engine. If your bus is a phase2, look at the heater controls. 3 sliders means it's diesel heater, most likely factory fit. Nobody converts a van to diesel and changes the heater controls.
