Hi everyone, my name is Mike and this is my mk1 motorhome I've just bought
Now it does have 10 months mot but It's quite obvious that its a postal mot, which means a reasonable amount of welding, a passenger side seatbelt to find and a couple of electrical gremlins to sort out. But considering its 44 years old I don't think it' too bad.

Welcome to the forum, I have a feeling passenger side seat belts might not have been required till later in commercials but I could well be wrong and they aren't particularly tricky to fit - actually I wonder if someone removed the passenger seat and belt to get it through a test - so the rot wasn't with 30cm of a seat belt mount?

The spring in the seatbelt has snapped so it doesn't rewind. as for the rot, there are a pair of holes on the front cross member inboard of the front spring hangers, 2 or 3 holes in the bulkhead a bit where the wing meets the front valence, a small hole on the steering box mount and the hinge mount on the bonnet has all but rotted away . That's all I've found so far

it looks very smart, some more pics would be great. Rust will always be a problem but I think it is easier to deal with on a Transit than a car of the same age.
