Hello, I have this weekend bought myself a mk1 transit campervan, I am hoping someone on here might know something about it! The guy I bought it from tells me it was taken to Australia in 1969 then drove back here and registered in 1977.

Yep Tis an early one, we've got a pedals through the floor minibus. She spends half her time with the brakes stuck on. Not a sensible design as far as I'm concerned... That's an unusual body, is there a makers plate anywhere on it?

No makers plates that we can see... and its almost back to the bones now! The van is at SK Motorhomes having a full resto....

all that mass and a piddly V4 to push it along - poor thing! Are you keeping the original engine or repowering?

I'm trying to decide if I should move this to member's vans. Let's see how it goes.

I've moved this to member's vans as it's more involved than a simple hello! Your van is an early one, which was made of thicker steel. Also spending it's early life in Oz gave it a longer life too.
