I have been out and about in the camper over last few months. Enjoying life, seeing some countryside and relaxing after a weeks work. Unfortunately on my way back from the New Forest on Sunday I lost the ability to change gear. I heard a bang (not a loud one) and then couldn't get it back into gear (when running) As I was on the A43 I stuck it into 2nd and started it up and got to a layby so I could call the AA. I thought the clutch cable had gone, but AA man said the arm was moving, and said he thinks the clutch release bearing has gone.
I started to look for a replacement clutch, as I think if the box has to come out, then might as well do the lot at once. Now the confusion has started, some places say a standard 2.0 pinto from a car will fit, others say it has to be a Transit clutch. As prices range from £70 to £225 for a kit...... 1979 2.0 pinto with 4 speed (205 block). Any ideas or advice welcome.
Also is it worth trying to track down an Mt75 5 speed?

Mt75 in a SWB is tricky to do, all pinto clutches are the same but there is an HD version.

I take it the HD version is the 241mm version rather than the 215mm version.

8 or 9 inch in old money😉 Lwb is not so bad, the MT has a flange on the back of the gearbox whereas rhe 4 speed has the slider. Get a Mk5 lwb propshaft if you van.
