It crossed my mind today that I haven't found a jack in my mk2. In my cars I normally have a small trolley jack for emergencies but I figure this won't work in my little camper as it'll be too small to left the van and too bulky to store inside.
Anyone got a picture of what a mk2 jack looks like so I can keep an eye at shows, on eBay etc?
Obviously I'd be interested in one for sale on here but it'd probably have to be nearby to me due to weight for postage.

Hi pb, i have a small 2 ton for mine, should do in emergencies, then maybe a couple of axle stands for longer work. Personally i would trust a new hydraulic jack to a dated jack, no doubt others will have a view

Don't buy a crappy 2 tonne one from Machine Mart, it'll struggle to lift 1/2 a ton! Probably better buying a little bottle jack either screw or hydrolic type + make sure you put it under something solid!!

the the trouble with bottle jacks is you cant get them under the axle with a flat! A small trolley jack isnt that weedy and you would be surprised where you can fit it.

Thanks for the replies.
I've not been on for a couple of days and didn't think about the problem with a flat. I ended up buying a compact 4 ton bottle jack on my way home yesterday but I do have those ramps in it too that level the camper out on a pitch - hopefully driving up one of those will allow the jack to fit under.
