hello wonder if anyone can tell me were i can get a timing belt and bearing for my 2.4 york diesel engine i could do with the fan and power stering belt as well its a hymer body built on to a 1984 mk2 transit i have had a ring round but no one can lay there hands on one i have my fingers crossed thanks for reading my post Paul

a DI timing belt should fit, l am sure Muttley should put me right on this. I am impressed you have power steering! Without seeing it I would say try a Mk5 DI power steering belt. also being an 84 (crossover to the DI) check it is a york! Dead giveaway is if it has glowplugs, its a DI. If not its a York. Oh and welcome BTW

thanks fred i will have to go to the van and look it is in a local garage i had to have the injector pump rebuild becase it was leakin fuel and wanted to put new belt and bearing on as it is a good engine it says on log book it is 2332 cc does that narrow it down Paul

Just spoke to Muttley and he tells me you are likely to have a yorkie! He said every Hymer he's dealt with did. I would like to bet Hymer bought up a load of phase1 running chassis when the Mk2 was facelifted, and reg'd em new when they were built up.

Hi matey, I get my Yorkie belts off Ebay, theres always some on there. They are not made any more so u can only get NOS. I may have one around if u r not in a hurry. Di belt wont fit

thanks i seem to think it is a york engine i seem to think i have seen the word york on the block but cant be sure it is difficult to see in on the hymers will the di bearing be the same as well Paul

found a couple on ebay thanks gents it is indeed the york engine cant seem to find a bearing tho got a couple of places going to ring me back so fingers crossed felt like jr hartley a bit today thanks again Paul
