Hello fellow members - my faithful old 1985 Transit Gertie has just bust its clutch cable!
It's one of the last Mk2s and must have been built on the changeover period as it has the Mk3 engine, but it's a Mk2 cable that's needed.
I've owned it since 1986 so know it's the original engine and hasn't been modified, but I'm getting confusing advice as to which one is needed.
Has anybody out there got a clutch cable to suit or maybe even just tell me which part number I need? Engine number FP88175
I can send a couple of photos to help identify it if necessary.
Many thanks
John and Gertie

Thanks to you all for replying so quickly.
It's a 4 gear - and I'll try Partco tomorrow, I don't suppose you know the part number?
If I can't get the correct one maybe I'll try for a universal one.

Hi Sorry the cable is in the van and it has a large cover on it so not an easy job to get into . Any other time I would check tomorrow but off to China first thing and won't be back until the 15th . If you go into Partco they should be able to cross reference from your reg number
