My headlight/indicator/ rear light bezels and also grille are a naff grey plastic which is faded and scruffy. What can I do to re-vitalise these and also, I need a new drivers side indicator bezel...are these easy to get?

there are no seperate bits on the lights mate. They are all one unit. Try cleaning the plastic then rubbing em with smooth peanut butter. If that doesnt work, try carefully masking the lenses and spraying them with grey bumper and trim paint. Holts do one.

so what I need is a complete new indicator unit? Probably not a bad idea anyway as I see the lens is held on with woodscrews... I'm guessing they can't be got new form Ford

PS if I paint them, I shall paint them white and add viper stripes as in the Transit Sport.... :-)

The bezels on my early Mk2 were grey and oxidised. I refurbed them by wet sanding with 400, then 800, then polishing with cutting compound (T-Cut to you poms) and they came up like new. Took an hour or two to do. Not sure if the later bezels are the same though?

they are plastic so oxidisation isn't a problem for once. :-)

New old stock indicators seem to come up quite often on ebay. If you decide to paint them I'd use a plastic conditioner/primer to make sure the paint stays on a nice long time. Jas
