This may sound like a silly question ,but there are a lot of imports coming back into the country at the moment which is good in my opinion . But why is it they are continually being sold on eBay and not registered and they want you to do it . If it's easy and only £25 as a lot claim I don't understand why they don't do it and just sell it for more

I know what your saying but everyone advertising says it's easy . If it's that easy surely they would get a quicker sale if they registered it

Its not (that) easy unless they have already been previously UK reg'd and can be more than a bit involved especially as working vehicles have 'evolved' over there working life and might not still have a full complement of numbers etc... First reg fee is £55 as well not £25 thats a replacement logbook.

Thats because its not 'EASY', otherwise they would do it themselves. For a start it has to pass an mot and I've never had anything brought in from another country that passed with out some work. By the time you've do that, welding, steering etc, maybe there wouldn't be much profit left. Jas

I agree it's a nightmare to get stuff approved - does anyone remember the hassle with kit cars and getting them through vosa to then be registered

It's also ruined my holidays in Malta as the last 5 years all the charming old cars, vans and buses have gone

I would say most of the Mk1s from Malta have been UK regd before so that does make life easier.
