Hello! 1 very new owner (1st ever Transit) and have jumped straight in with a 1985 Mk2 Dormobile (Pacemaker Welfare Vehicle) that was already converted by her previous owners... it was love at first sight just from the photo of her outside - layout inside was exactly what we were looking for so I'm still slightly in shock that we finally found her - been looking a long time! We've only had her just over 2 months, so the only new additions are a new alternator and fan belt, and we've had new connections sorted out to the starter motor as our early journeys were very hit and miss as to whether we'd get there or not! I'm fairly clueless with engines/practical stuff so will be learning as I go along, lots of reading up and asking daft questions no doubt, so apologies in advance! Mars

Welcome mate! Winnie's a Pacemaker. No idea what Connie (bus) or Bertha (parcel van) are. Make sure you have/get windscreen cover as they are special order only.

Thanks all for the welcome. Fred - I was wondering about her windscreen! Will check my insurance later, I'm fairly sure I have it but would I need to flag it up as a specialist item as such. I wondered about parts generally, but hoping everything holds out until we've figured things out a bit more Mars

Mort parts are pretty easy to get. I just got a recon pinto alternator for £38.
