Hi
Im new to this forum
I have been offered a LHD SWB doublecab pickup mk2 transit as a PX , NOT a twinwheel , Im no mk2 transit expert but this strikes me as very rare vehicle , its not a german ex fire truck , it has a canopy over the pick up , colour is orange
If I do the deal I will import it to UK , I can import it as is or have the cab painted if anyone is interested send a whatsup number and I will send pictures

To be honest its probably more use as a showpiece to someone than a vehicle someone could use to promote a business etc. Can't imagine it could carry much/ any weight being a SWB with a double cab and single rear wheel? Mk2's aren't making the strong money mk1's do even for something rare. Are you sure it started life as a pickup and isn't a cut down van? A SWB with a doublecab would only have a back about 4 or 5ft long?
If you put some photos up on here using photobucket or something similar i'm sure people will be able to give you a good idea of what its value is.

Its defo an original pick up crewcab has the sliding windows for the back seats , Ive tried to post a picture but it wont down load , maybe im wrong about swb but the pick up is defo shorter than than a twinwheel crewcab pick ive seen for sale in Germany , that's ones very nice but its a bright red ex fire vehicle which I think stigmatizes it a bit The one ive been offered has been used by a bee keeper and come to think of it the pick up looks no longer than 5 ft , the crewcab is identical to the the twin wheel I mentioned Any one with a phone on wattsup I can fire over some pictures and then you try to post on here , Im having no joy from my computer , also I can email some pics inline , mail me on greystoke44@hotmail.com
Has a nice canopy over the pick up and was a working vehicle for a bee keeper , so makes perfect sense as Ive found out that the transit could be customized from the dealer in any requested configuration , this might be the only configuration in existence?
The guy selling the mk1 swb single cab pick up on car and classic reckons its worth 4k in UK with mot on NOVA if it needs no welding , he reckons 5-6 with a decent paint

Maybe, LHD tends to knock them on price, it would have to be original and absolutely mint or restored to near concours condition to get near 5 or 6k not just blown over
