Hi all After many years of owning and restoring classic volkswagens.... i had enough of the bloody things so it was time for something a little different! A few weeks ago i purchased a 78 holdsworth, its a complete turd but i love it! 1.6 pinto runs really well, underside bit of a patchwork quilt but solid enough and has a years MOT. The bodywork however as expected is shocking, full of holes and filler!! Will be a winter project and will hopefully spend next summer travelling europe in the old thing! I would certainly be interested to find some good new/2nd hand panel suppliers etc... (desperately need O/S back door) and also some help with the paint would be handy. The paint code is HG on the vin plate but google isnt proving useful! Anyhow will be intrigued to see other peoples projects and chat to some like minded enthusiasts. cheers Matt

Welcome mate! Look up Ralph on here, he's selling a SWB Mk2 pickup at the mo. He should be able to sort out panels for you. Your camper looks like Olympic blue. If you want coach enamel or celly for a paint job I can point you in the right direction for paint.

Welcome, it's difficult to tell in the photo looking in my phone but if it's a pale blue it could be Ford Cargo blue, there are several different shades
Edit cancel that Ford Cargo Blue is NG
Go to a paint suppliers and have them look it up on the commercial paint chits, its got to be the commercial colours though the car ones are the wrong colour codes

thanks guys, we are in the process of moving back to Hampshire from Devon at the moment, for which the transit is proving very useful!!
I shall be making a start on the old girl in January so will make a list of parts required and get in touch Ralph. Im also going need to need paint Fred so will get in touch nearer the time. Thanks very much for your help.
A bit concerned about starting the filler removal i must admit!!!!
Will keep you all posted on progress.
cheers
Matt

Looks nice, there's a chap I see at the steam shows around west SUSSEX who has one the same colour as yours. When I see him I'll find out what the colours called.
