Hi all
just a little intro before i go make a thread about its problems, of which there are very few thankfully.
Its an 86 Mk2 as the title implies, ex-BA runway bus with approx 40,000 miles .
Alot of blood sweat and tears put into it by myself and my dad giving it a completely clean MOT as someone previous had done some slightly dodgy work, my only gripe is that alot of the bodywork is starting to get rusty in all the cracks etc. but this will hopefully get done soon before a nice white respray before the summer is out. Currently its 3 or so shades of BA blue.
Onto the engine..
2.0 Pinto on CBR900RR carbs with modified Sportex exhaust, The 4 speed box with OD (absolutely love the ratios you can achieve on it). When i have a bit more cash flow it will be a mild Kent cam going in and a head skim of around .5mm but we haven't quite decided on skimming yet as it is a daily driver.
Inlet mani was roughly designed by myself, longer runners than your average Escort etc. because we wont rev the nuts off of it, torque was the aim. Fab'd by me and my dad, carbs tuned by me (by ear unfortunately but got it pretty spot on after a couple of days, luckily i have spent alot of time working on the last carb'd superbikes of the 90s)
Exhaust modification was mostly just routing problems.
Goes like liquid s*** off a hot shovel!
The only poor quality picture i have will be attached, its just the engine bay, ill try and get some more at some point. Oh yea, thats a 4th colour to add to the list

*oh i should have said it was a properly fitted camper in the back (after it was out of BA service) but my dad pulled that out due to weight, just an inflatable sofa now.
