That's not surprising really 48, there were at least 12 different master cylinders for the 1.6 & 2 litre Mk2 Transits alone.

if you want a straight changeover youll have check the part no/on alliuminium tag theres also 2 differant makes just forgot what they are now

Fords used at least ATE, Lockheed, and Bendix 48.

I am thinking a brake pipe outlet but not sure why its blue I think the blue shows a different size hole Fred. In the pic the blue plug looks smaller than the reds to me. Some had a control switch, but control switches have big fat threaded section. ;D

Its a MK1 facelift cyl, blue hole is for a small threaded peg that stops the front piston coming too far back.

Around the ports looks clean enough. Apart from that, it looks pretty dirty to me. Whilst, as far as I can recall, boxed master cylinders come without reservoirs. My sixpenn'orth says it's been used. And used with a dirty reservoir..
Do you know which model Mk1 it fits please Muttley?
