looks okay, sliding side loading door on RHS too! You keeping this? I guess cab doors will be converted to normal type? Someone even removed the horrible Cologne V4 for you Looks like a very early one, going off that metal badge on the back? sliding door might have to be made into a panel, not sure it will go past bubble arches, drivers door will be changed for normal opening door, and vin decode says its an october 1966 van

You could use the V4 as an auxiliary power unit

i think i have decided to sell as its a 66 and get a more age appropriate mk1 transit with no side door as my base donor van, this one needs to many mods, having the side door and sliding front door, but being a solid 66 should get me enough money to buy a later mk1 with no side door, and maybe cover the cost of the escort bubbles,

Did you come back via ferry or train? I'm thinking of getting an x-fire van from Germany and wonder what was best way to bring it to the UK.?

i went with trailer via P&O ferries, £48 return, same day, got back to boat 2 hours late, but they let me on at no extra cost,

Thats what I might do. Just a matter of saving some pennies and finding a good van.

i live in the southeast not far from Dover, if you need any help or trailer use, not sure a twin wheel would go past the arches on my trailer but it would fit length ways

I usually get shouted at for saying such things but can you take the outside wheels off while it's on the trailer?
