Just a quick question or 2 today, where is the pipe for vac advance usually taken from? The end of the manifold or just under the carb where mine is - i'm still getting problems with pinking on light load uphill on the motorway, disconnecting the vacuum advance seems to improve it? I've now swapped distributors but it's no better and my idle is still as lumpy as ever Secondly I've been looking at the 32/36 weber on the pinto manifold that I have. No idea what it's from but the linkage is set so it needs to pull from the passenger side, is a cable available that will be long enough or can I mess with the linkages to solve it and reuse my existing cable?

Vacuum takeoff is from the same place as the servo pipe elbow, not sure what you could do with the cable though

my LWB van was originally a Pinto engine, and the throttle cable is very long, it would pull from the passenger side okay ( I am still using it on the 3.8 engine)
