Does your axle have a square casing? If so then yes this is a Mk1/2 axle, cant tell anything else from that picture (diff ratio etc)

Sure I read that if you’ve got axle sitting as pictured you can find ratio out by seeing how many turns of driveshaft pinion it takes to turn halfshaft one full revolution,(like 4 and a little bit higher ratio,nearer 5 or over low ratio),but this maybe retained useless info😉

It doesn't look like a transit axle to me. What was it removed from?

Yeah, it is Transit, no halfshafts or diff. Looking closely at the hub nut, it may be a Mk3

It doesn't look like a transit axle to me. What was it removed from? Its off a mk 4 or 5 Fred ,apoliges for cussing on the Holy day

On second thoughts wheel cyls look mk 3 hub nut looks 4 or 5 .Bit of a mongrel Sorry Mutts didn't see your post but hadnt mk3 got a nut with slots that needed a special tool ?
