I am curious. Can anyone who belongs to the club answer this question? Does the Transit Van Club operate as a separate entity, with separate accounts, committee meetings etc?
Where I am from I would be considered quite inappropriate (and possibly illegal depending on how it is structured) to be masquerading/operating as a club when in fact it is a just private individual running a small business.
BTW, I like the model, it does look quite good!

I sat around a table with Peter Lee at the Ace Cafe the day the club was formed. Fact
At that time, there was no committee or official apart from Peter Lee. Fact
Throughout the following year this didn't change. I didn't renew my membership. Fact
As I am no longer a member, I don't know if this has changed.

I cannot see any benefit from joining the transit club. Apart from a bi-monthly newsletter there seems to be nothing else for your money. Parts sold by the club on eBay are either at a very high price or to the highest bidder. That's no way to run a club i think it should be there to help with parts and get rare parts remanufactured and made available at a reasonable cost

bullsintransit it pretty much looks that way. Peter certainly has a wealth of knowledge and experience. Sadly it's not often used, or offered for free (club membership) sleepy, some members don't even get that. I like to think this forum offers more than the TVC, and I have no intention of charging anything for membership.

You get absolutely nothing for being a member apart from a tacky sticker when you first join. I foolishly joined before I discovered this forum and have never received a newsletter so as far as I am concerned Peter Lee is a scam with his Transit Van Club
I certainly wouldn't renew my "membership"
I would like to meet Peter Lee in person and let him know what I think of him. Better than that I wonder if trading standards would be interested in his scam

Paul you are not the only person I have heard of that got nothing from the club. I'm not sure if trading standards would be interested as it's a club not a business. Allegedly.
