So, it seems I can open all my doors with pretty much any key. Typical old Ford I know! Are there any modern locks with an original look I can use? (It's a mk1 campervan). I can always install a lock on the inside of the rear door, but the front doors I'm unsure about. What have others done?

Might sound arse about face but on german firevans only the drivers door has key, rest are only lockable from inside apart from rear door ( not lockable, fitted internal deadlocks), external handles have no key, (apart from drivers door), handles come up regular on german ebay, just if there’s only one door with an external key there’s only one lock to worry about (or only one door you need to fit an external key for deadlock to), if it a camper you should be able to lock rest internally no prob.

An old fashioned disc lock - the type that covers the entire wheel, not the silly bar things that are just useful extra leverage to break the steering lock. You need the large size.

I have fitted most of Freds vans with extra security locks low down on the doors, front and rear

Some good ideas there, thanks. Muttleymk2, have you got any pics of the locks? I think I may go down this route.

Although never the best security when working fully, sometimes it's a case of dried out grease on the barrel pins causing them to stick open. You can strip, clean, and re-grease them so it'd be better.

The locks all open and close as they should. It's just that any old key will do the job. I'm going to do as muttleymk2 suggested I think, buy I'm not having much luck in finding a suitable lock at the moment.
