I have a Mk1, its now fitted with a Mk3....5 master cylinder and servo. But not yet plumbed in, The Mk1 originally had 2 brake lines (front and rear) plumbed to its original servo unit, however the later unit requires 3 brake lines to be fitted. I am guessing the later unit has 2 separate front brake lines, and 1 rear line.............question is which is what on the outlets of the master cylinder. Can I blank one off, or would I be better off running separate lines to the front wheel cylinders? Am I likely to blow the seals out of my brakes with the new master cylinder?

do you have front drums mate? That could be the answer.. I have Mk3 servo/masters fitted to Mk2s. They have front discs though and also the Mk2 has an external splitter valve which is internal on the Mk3.
