At the recomendation of Fred i'm posting this helpful tip..... after answering to a fellow member on The Transit Forum in the mk1 mk2 section. He was having problems with his brakes pulling to one side. Having had the same problem with mine i gave him this answer.... The little lobe type riveted adjusters on the back plate eventually dont offer enough resistance the answer is to drive the pin out then cut a thread onto it then put a nut on the back, you can now almost lock the adjuster in place afterwards. Hope this helps 'it was more attractive than waiting for a mk2 disc front axle' of which there cant be many left now. Wish i had the brake drums that have been flung out when everyone changed to the later type axle
