Right some advise would be handy , my current pinto runs ruff (choke out for power ) and is using a lot of LPG it also went to the LPG centre off a certificate and the guy pointed out about £250 worth of things that need changing to get it certified . If I can't get the engine right and the gas consumption down then it's not worth ending out in the certificate and to be honest for that money I could get a DI engine .anyway the question I ask is anyone running a pinto In there camper and how do they find it and has anyone done a DI conversion and what's involved ?

Coach built motorhomes dont go well with the pinto mpg wise Di is a better bet. Sounds like you have a manifold air leak to me

my 2ltr pinto motorhome runs spot on ,mpg 27 on a run, thats petrol not gas and it dosent like choke My parents borrowed it for 4 days at got it from the IOW to bakewell and back but it was doing 44ltrs of gas to every 120 miles . Not the sort of economy I was looking for . But if I could get 27mpg I would be happy as gas is half the price

I'm going to service the pinto and change the manifold gaskets and see what I get , i know it won't have the grunt of a diesel but it will hopefully get me through this. Year . What's involved with the DI swap never owned a diesel
