I have recently bought rather a collection of rotten mk1 camper vans (went to buy one, and ended up buying 4 - you know what its like!), some of which I am going to be putting back on the road, some of which are going to be striped for bits - here are some of the bits which I know I am not going to want / need. If there is anything else your particularly after please feel free to get in touch. When I have got round to having a proper go through them there will be some more bits up for grabs. I may also be selling one complete to - watch this space...
MK1 transit bits for sale, including:
V6 + 4spd box from a 76 van - told it was "a good engine" when parked up, but 10+ years sitting seem to have seized it (though haven't tried to hard to move it, just stuck a spanner on the front). Comes complete with all ancillaries (including radiator), carb looks like its seen better days, but comes with a spare one which looks like new. £150
Various cab doors, in various condition. From £50 a piece
Various poor condition wings/bonnets/grills/bumpers - open to offers - the scrap man can have them otherwise! Most of this pile is not going to be much good for restoring but may be good to cut sections out of to fix other panels.
Pair of front V4 springs £20
Headlamp surrounds (both the shiny bit and the outer trim) - from quite tatty to very good. From £5 a piece
Wood effect "custom" dash trim - very good condition on the front, some surface rust on the back, £30
Pair of light brown single seats (drivers and passengers), from memory the passengers is perfect, drivers has a small tear but really isnt bad. £30 a piece or £50 the pair
Genuine Ford original jack and tool kit £15
Not from a MK1, but I also have 2 MT75 boxes (for a 2.5DI). One has stick and cross member (£60) and the other dosent (£50)
Campervan bits:
CI campervan fibreglass panels. I have stripped a 76 CI camper (which was very rotten!) I have all of the external fibreglass panels (other than the roof, which was cracked) cluttering up my unit. From memory all are in good used condition. Seem to good to just bin, am open to offers on any / all of them. I also have a complete stet of windows from this van (other than the front one, which was missing when I got the van) and complete set of mattresses/cushions which I may be able to make use off, but am still open to offers if someone can make better use of them than me!
Jennings Louvre windows and rear door/window (from a 71 van). These came from another rotten van which I stripped and (having put a little to much of my sole in to it) is now back on the road as a mobile stage - thestagebus.com/the-camper-stage/. Anyone who knows there 70s campers will know, you dont get better than Jennings! The Louvre windows are a matched pair (left and right hand sides) and are both in very good working order. They could do with new strips on them to stop the draft but that's easily done. The door has seen better days but the window is in good order. £150 the set.
I have various fridges, cookers, ovens, sinks, fittings etc etc... (you get the idea) from vaious 70s/80s campers and caravans. Cant remember what exactly there is off the top of my head, but let me know what your after and ill have a rummage!
I am in Birmingham, your welcome to come and have a look at the various bits, give me some money and take them away - otherwise im more than happy for your to paypal / bank transfer me the money and I can ship stuff. Give me a ring on 07899 076018 or email me tev@thestagebus.com
