Hi, I have a 1979 Mk2 campervan, Its been stood outside, under a caravan cover for seven months. So pre MOT, i've done a few checks and there are no dash lights, fuel gauge, heater gauge, warning lights working. I have checked the nine fuses, right hand side of the dash , all working OK. What do I check for next, take the dash out? Also the wheel nuts are rusted on, I have no way of heating them, so WD40 them and use a big bar, may snap the studs off, are they easy to replace, if this happens? Hope you can help, many thanks Transitmanred.

Is it a 6 stud twin rear wheel van? If so, the left hand wheelnuts will be left hand thread mate.

Have you tried taking the fuses out and cleaning the ends and also the terminals in the fuse box. a quick way is to rotate the fuses in situ and see if the lights come on.

the main fuse to check is the one with the little dial symble. Thats the one that controls the dash. Also have a look at the main wiring loom junction in the glove box.
