yes ,it was. :-)
Mine performed faultlessly...about 350 miles overall, 3 3/4 hours each way. about €100 of petrol though, better than my Mk3 Cortina in fact!
Missus came with me and tried out the cooker..most welcome she was!

I can't afford it either but here's a lot of things I can't afford, like smoking, drinking, chasing other women and gambling none of which I do and this is a small vice in comparison (IMO :-) )
I had Sausages from Jack McCarthy in Kanturk (the guy who supplied HMQ with Black Pud)and mushrooms and tomatoes and herself had a nice bit of steak/
Still having fridge problems though. The fridge SHOULD work when driving and when plugged in.it will run on the leisure battery for a short while (if I charge it first)but I can't get it to run on the land-line or alternator. The battery will charge on the landline but not on the alternator.Baffling

Can't beat good long run to prove its worth! And 100 euro is not bad for that journey after all its not exactly aerodynamic. :-)
About the fridge. It shouldn't really run of the leisure battery when the engine is stopped as it will kill the battery in no time and they are quite expensive. There should be a relay that when the engine is running lets power to the fridge from the alternator but shuts it off when the engine has stopped. I suspect it ,might be faulty or not connected properly. I have one in my van but unfortunately I'm 2 plane journeys away so can't tell you how its connected up. There are plenty of how to's online though.
