On my Mk2 I have the original factory jack, jack handle and wheel brace. I would like to fit these in place as they were done when new. I am told by Neil on the other forum that these brackets were for holding the jack. Would anybody have a pic of it strapped in place? I am struggling to see how it was done neatly! thanks Conrad

there were rubber straps or cards with a metal hook at one end and an eyelet in the rubber at the other. Plain black rubber not a bungee. they thread through the metal tochold the jack bag in the middle and bottom.

Hi Fred,
yes I have the rubber cords with the hooks. I wasn't sure if that was all that they did, or there was something else I was missing, like a box or bracket. Thanks for that:)

Fred, Is the mk1 different to the mk2, the brackets in mine look the same as conrods but my Jack is in a bag, and has straps that fit through the brackets. Peter

yes the Mk1 is different like you say. Straps not rubber cords.

Looks like I am missing that proper jack bag, that explains where the wheelbrace and jack handdle go too! Should be easy enough to get one made from an upholsterer:) Thanks for the pic peterg, thats a big help:)
