I have a 1979 mk 2, 2 litre petrol/LPG motorhome. The tube that the dipstick goes into has become detached from my engine (resulting in an oil socked engine bay). It pushes back into the engine, but wont stay there long. Anyone any ideas how Its supposed to be held in place, and what I can do to keep it in its little hole. I cant weld Thanks

wrap the end of the dipstick tube with ONE wind of PTFE tape. Failing that, give it a LIGHT tap with a hammer!
