Fitted my new mirror glass today.Fractionally too big and , guess what, it broke putting it in!
I see there's a new pair on Ebay for £50

it's OK to use until the next test comes around...it's only cracked at one corner.... i'll just get a stick on one for the test I think

BTW its not that the glass is too big, its just that glass doesnt bend! Your mirror head could be slightly out of shape or the frame needs to be squeezed just a bit too much to get it to fit. I use rubber hose repair tape to keep some of ours in place. You can use electrical tape but sticky tape can get affected by the weather.

It was the latter I'd say Fred, just easing it the last clip and ....
I was on the track of another, but the guy just emailed me to say he had dropped it! lol

I too broke a mirror glass a few weeks back. Ham-fisted I'm afraid. If you fail with the one Fred can sort I can help you too as I still have another spare.

you can still buy the mirror in Halfords, listed as Mk2/3 NO! Mk2 and Mk3 glass are two different shapes. The Mk3 is slightly wider at the bottom
