I'm pretty certain this is the VV carb on my Transit, unless someone corrects me: Unfortunately I don't think it likes it's new lease of life, actually being used instead of parked up, and more than likely needs a good service and/or rebuild. As most of us know though, the VV carb can be pretty dire compared to a Weber. If I have to go through the cost of a rebuild I'm thinking I may as well replace it with the Weber, but which ones will bolt straight in place. I'd prefer to keep the auto-choke setup as I'm a sucker for leaving the choke out. Thanks.

You can replace th VV with a weber 34 ICH but you will need an adaptor or a complete conversion kit, personally I like the VV I have 3 of my transits running them and they are very good indeed . I have all the bits to service the VV if you need them

Thanks for the info Muttley. I may take you up on the service bits as it sounds like I'll have a problem sourcing all the bits to convert to Weber. I'll let you know.

That one is fine for the 1.6, it would need a matching manifold as well though
