Hi guys Me and the misses have just bought our 1st camper, mk2 transit high roof (you've all probally seen it on eBay over the last few weeks it's the beige one) It Needs a lot if work and a lot if welding so I'm going down the full strip down and rebuild road with it. I might need a abit of advice from time to time as I'm only just getting into my fords. Is there anything I need to looks out for? And also is there anywhere I can buy front cross members from and rear arches? Thanks Lewis

welcome along lewis.we still need pics as we love pics here.don't believe you can buy front crossmembers so people either make their own or get someone like muttley to make 'em.

welcome mate. Was this the one for sale on here too? As Irish said you are best getting a crossmember made, ask Muttley. You might get the wheel arch repair bits turn up on ebay....

Nice one guys I'll ask him. I'm not sure if it was for sale on here or not but I'll try and get some pictures up later for you all to have a laugh. I'm looking forward to restoring it into a happy camper van again. :-D

Yeah that's my new beast, what's do you all recon :-) It's now all tottaly stripped inside and to be fair it's a lot less rotten than I thought it would be. Front crossmember is pretty bad (I've seen more substansial tissue paper) so I defiantly know that's on the list + lots more things I've seen most of the other panels and wings dotted about on various websites. I'll defiantly be in touch muttley for the cross member :-) thanks a lot
