Sorry there were no straps on the back axle, that explains the twisting. The only strap was on the front

Erm, if i need a recovery mind if I call you Muttley? When you explained it you can see exactly how it happened, do you have the parts to sort it or have you got to start sourcing stuff? Are the RAC being sensible about paying for the damages/ repairs?

You will have to have a word with the reporter of that story, "blue box van" tut tut. Thanks to the firemen one of your pride and joys is not a write off. I hope you get a free renewal from the RAC and they pay for the work that Beryl needs.

But Fred......what if it's a 2014 "Transit", you would need a sick bucket at all times in case you saw the reflection in a shop window Now there's a picture for the scary stories section, Fred driving a 2014 Transit ! I can see it now, " The possession of Fred ", her friend Beryl is nearly pushed over the edge by C&S, forced by the RAC to drive a 2014 Transit, will the horror never end.

holy crap, looks like a close call, but still sounds like a bunch of damage to fix for you anyway. And then I am sure there will be a "discussion" over getting them to cough for the damage:( OT, my Mk1 did its first day on the film set today, behaved like a seasoned pro too:)

Omg Fred I would have been having kittens... Glad she hung on but ug on all the damage! Looking at all the photos I'm amazed she stayed on.
Mabel broke down a few times when we first got her and they tried to bump start her tied to a truck going round a tiny residential area... that was horrible enough, and then towed her home, both the recovery driver, me and my other half had several litters of kittens all the way back to their depot.
